Elena Kent

A San Angelo native, Elena Kent graduated with a BFA from the University of Texas at Austin.  After studying theatre arts, studio art and art history, Elena pursued a professional acting career in Dallas.  While there, she spent several years on camera, both in commercials, and television, and was a member of the live improvisation troupe, Lone Star Comedy.  Currently, Elena shares her passion for the theatre with her favorite group of actors... kids!  In 2006, she directed Children's Letters to God, and most recently, the zany youth musical, Dear Edwina, Jr.  Ms. Kent also teaches worshops such as acting, improvisation, and her innovative movement & drawing classes called Dramart!  With over 20 years of theatre experience, Elena's favorite roles include Princess Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress, Laurey in Oklahoma!, Dolly Levi in Hello Dolly, and she is thrilled to appear as Roxie Hart in Chicago in spring 2007.
